TL;DR. Miley Cyrus Hollywood Bowl tickets go on sale across three days: an Amex presale on Tuesday 8 September, an artist presale on Wednesday 9 September, and general sale on Thursday 10 September on Ticketmaster, every one of them at 10am Pacific time (6pm in the UK). Sign up for the artist presale now if you have not, have your account and payment ready before the clock hits, and if both nights are gone, the answer is returns, which appear without warning.
The four ways in, in order
- Amex presale, Tue 8 Sep, 10am PT / 6pm UK. You need an eligible American Express card. The card is the code.
- Artist presale, Wed 9 Sep, 10am PT / 6pm UK. Free, but you must register at mileyofficial.com/tour before it opens. Codes usually arrive by email shortly before the sale, so use an address you check.
- Spotify Reserved. A held-back allocation for eligible Spotify Premium top fans, with Spotify deciding who qualifies. Treat it as a bonus, not a plan.
- General sale, Thu 10 Sep, 10am PT / 6pm UK. Ticketmaster.com. Whatever the presales left.
If you can use more than one of those, use every one of them. Each sale is a separate attempt at a separate pool, and the earlier pools are quieter.
What to have ready before 10am PT
- A Ticketmaster account that already works. Log in the day before. Password resets during an on-sale are how people lose their place.
- A saved payment method. The checkout timer does not care that your card is in another room.
- One device, one tab. Multiple tabs on Ticketmaster's queue can get you flagged, and a phone on 5G is often steadier than a laptop on office Wi-Fi.
- A decision on the night. Friday 16 or Sunday 18. If you would take either, search the one with more availability rather than the one you slightly prefer.
- A budget, written down. Prices were not announced. Decide the number before you see the seat map, not after.
Why this sale will be short
The Hollywood Bowl holds around 17,500. Two nights is roughly 35,000 tickets for the only Miley Cyrus shows anywhere, the first in four years, with a new album landing four weeks earlier. Three presales run before the public gets a look. Expect the general sale to be measured in minutes for good seats and not much longer for the rest.
Missed out? How returns work here
Sold out is the start of a second market, not the end of the first. Between September and October, plans change: work, travel, a friend who drops out. Those tickets are listed for resale, usually on Ticketmaster itself, and they appear at random with no announcement. The people who get them are the ones who happen to be looking at the right moment.
US resale is not UK resale
In the UK, official resale on the platforms we cover is capped at the original price or close to it. In the US, Ticketmaster resale is priced by the seller unless the artist has opted into a capped exchange, and nothing in this announcement says that has happened. A listing can be above the original price and still be an official, valid ticket. Check the price against what the seat originally cost, and buy only through Ticketmaster or the Hollywood Bowl box office, never from a screenshot or a DM.
When those returns tend to appear, and why the last week before each show matters most, is in when Miley Cyrus Hollywood Bowl tickets get resold.
Where Alertix stands
Alertix does not watch US shows today, so we cannot alert you to a Hollywood Bowl return yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. There is a free Miley Cyrus waitlist: leave an email and, if we open alerts for either night, you are the first to hear. Nothing else arrives in between.
