TL;DR. Download Festival 2027 runs from Wednesday 9 to Sunday 13 June 2027 at Donington Park. Its first tickets went on sale at 12 noon BST on Monday 15 June 2026, with no act announced, and early birds cost £330 for an adult five-night camping ticket (Time Out). On 10 October 2026 the official homepage said Late Bird tickets were on sale; we could not verify a Late Bird price. No 2027 act had been confirmed by 7 October 2026, when WRIF, citing The Scotsman, reported the first line-up was expected in the second half of that month. For the 2026 festival it came on Monday 3 November 2025, the day Ticketmaster's "Tier 1" payment plans replaced Late Bird.
Download 2027 tickets: what the official page showed on 10 October 2026
The homepage called Download 2027 "the fastest selling ever" and said Late Birds were on sale. It gave no figures, and the claim recurs: Time Out credited 2026 with the same record, and Kerrang! reported the same billing for the 2023 edition in November 2022. A fan blog, The Riff Report, said on 16 September 2026 that extra Late Bird tickets had been released.
The tickets page labelled some products Sold Out and others Buy Now, but Ticketmaster's own data disagreed with it on two of those products the same day, so neither label tells you what is left: only reaching checkout does. The festival names three approved agents: Ticketmaster, Big Green Coach and VIP Nation.
- Not on sale: RIP hotels, which the page said would come later, and day tickets, for which the official FAQ gives no date.
How much are Download 2027 tickets?
- Early bird, 5-night camping (all types): adult £330, child £165 (Time Out, 15 June 2026).
- Early bird, 3-night camping: adult £320. Time Out's 3-night child price appears to be misprinted, so it is not repeated here.
- Late Bird: we could not verify any price from a page we could open on 10 or 11 October 2026. Trust the figure at checkout.
The 2026 cycle shows how far prices move. The 2026 early bird started at £315 for five nights and £305 for three (Time Out, 16 June 2025). After the headliners, general-sale prices were £365 for five-night camping (child £192.50), £345 for three nights (child £185) and £310 for a weekend arena ticket (child £170), per Time Out on 4 November 2025: £50 more for a five-night adult ticket than at early bird.
When is the Download 2027 line-up announced?
No 2027 act had been confirmed by 7 October 2026. That day WRIF, citing The Scotsman, reported that the first line-up was expected in the second half of October 2026. That is press reporting, not a date from the festival. The 2026 cycle shows the shape:
- Monday 16 June 2025, 12 noon. 2026 early birds on sale (Time Out; Ticketmaster payment-plan terms). Late Bird plans followed on Tuesday 9 September 2025.
- Friday 3 October 2025. Download announced the line-up date a month ahead, first to its Download Family newsletter subscribers (Kerrang!).
- Sunday 2 November 2025. The last day of Late Bird payment plans (Ticketmaster).
- Monday 3 November 2025. Limp Bizkit, Guns N' Roses, Linkin Park and more than 90 other bands announced at the Barbican, with tickets on sale that day (Metal Planet Music). Ticketmaster's "Tier 1" payment plans began the same day.
We could not find the 2027 tier dates, so do not assume Late Bird pricing lasts until the reveal. In 2026 every ticket package had sold out by festival weekend (Radio X, 14 June 2026), and the organiser called it a sold-out 23rd edition.
Can you pay for Download tickets in instalments?
- Ticketmaster Instalments: 0% interest, no credit check, chosen at checkout (Ticketmaster). It covers every ticket type except RIP and can include extras such as parking (official Ticket Info page).
- PayPal Pay in 3: three interest-free payments on Ticketmaster bookings.
- Big Green Coach: the official coach partner sells camping ticket and return coach packages from 103 pick-up points, 24 new for 2027. Booking at least eight weeks ahead secures travel for £1, with the rest in six interest-free monthly instalments.
We could not find the 2027 plan terms. Ticketmaster's 2026 terms show plans shortening as the festival approached (9 instalments for a Late Bird bought on 1 or 2 November 2025, 7 for Tier 1 that month); a transaction fee was added to the first payment, a missed instalment with no replacement card within 5 days voided the ticket, and instalments were non-refundable.
Can you resell or transfer a Download ticket?
Only through the agent you bought from; only if it has no resale facility may a ticket go through a not-for-profit site such as Twickets (terms, clause 28). Tickets from unauthorised sources may be refused, and a wristband is invalid once transferred or resold.
- Ticketmaster's Ticket Exchange will open in your account nearer the event, Ticketmaster says; it had not opened by 10 October 2026. Sellers list at the price they paid or less, and face value is shown to the buyer at checkout.
- Not listable: orders still on a payment plan, orders with add-ons such as car park passes, and tickets bought on resale or transferred.
- Payout: Ticketmaster usually pays festival sellers within 7 business days after the event.
- Upgrades: resale tickets cannot be upgraded or exchanged. If you upgrade to RIP or Rock Retreat, claim the refund on your standard ticket by Friday 28 May 2027.
- Transfers, as of 2026: friends were sent tickets in the Download Festival app, the named holder did not have to attend, and Ticketmaster's limit was 6 per person and per credit card. Ticketmaster had not published a 2027 version of that guidance, or a 2027 ticket limit, by 10 October 2026.

Where Alertix fits
Alertix does not monitor Download 2027: not the official tickets page, not its agents, and not Ticketmaster's Ticket Exchange for it. For ticket changes and the line-up date, watch the festival's own site and newsletter. The events page has a Download 2027 card with a free waitlist: joining tells us fans want it, and we email you if alerts for Download go live. That is not a promise that they will.
