Ashes 2027 tickets: ballot and general sale dates at every ground

TL;DR. General sale for the 2027 men's Ashes opens on Wednesday 14 October 2026 at Trent Bridge and the Utilita Bowl, on Tuesday 8 December at the Kia Oval and on Thursday 10 December at Lord's. Those two run late ballots: Lord's closes on Monday 26 October and the Oval on Sunday 15 November 2026. Edgbaston announced on 7 October 2026 that Days 1-4 of its Test had sold out; its 14 October general sale is for its remaining 2027 match days, and its notice did not mention Day 5. Headingley and Emirates Old Trafford, which host only Women's Ashes matches, also go on general sale on 14 October.

Are Ashes 2027 tickets sold out?

Edgbaston said on 7 October 2026 that Days 1-4 of the 3rd Test had sold out, and that any returns go first to Club members and unsuccessful ballot entrants. For every other ground and day we make no availability claim either way; check the ground's own site.

For scale, in March 2023 the ECB said the majority of Days 1-4 tickets for every men's Test of that home Ashes had sold out.

If you miss out

At Lord's, click "Join Waitlist" on an unavailable day; Lord's expects some tickets back from its partners before the 2027 season and contacts waitlisted accounts first. Returns then go through each ground's own resale, explained in our Ashes 2027 resale guide. Secondary sites are not a way in: Lord's 2027 terms say tickets bought through Viagogo, StubHub and other unauthorised resellers will be cancelled (more in our ticket scam guide).

Where Alertix fits

As of 10 October 2026 Alertix does not watch any Ashes resale. We are working on alerts for official Ashes ticket exchanges, with no date and no ground confirmed; the Ashes 2027 waitlist hears first when any go live.

FAQ

When do Ashes 2027 tickets go on general sale?

On Wednesday 14 October 2026 at Trent Bridge, Edgbaston, the Utilita Bowl, Headingley and Emirates Old Trafford, on Tuesday 8 December at the Kia Oval, and on Thursday 10 December 2026 at Lord's. Edgbaston announced on 7 October 2026 that its Test Days 1-4 had sold out, so its 14 October general sale does not include them.

When does the Lord's Ashes 2027 ballot close?

On Monday 26 October 2026, with no closing time given. Entry is free with a Lord's Account, first-round winners can buy from Tuesday 17 November, and the limit is 2 tickets for the whole Test.

Are Ashes 2027 tickets sold out?

Edgbaston announced on 7 October 2026 that Days 1-4 of its Test, 8 to 11 July 2027, had sold out. We make no availability claim for any other match or day: check each ground's own ticket site.

Do I get a refund if rain stops play at an Ashes Test?

The ECB's major match scheme (published September 2022) refunds Days 1-4 in full if 15 overs or fewer are bowled and 50% for 15.1 to 30 overs, but does not cover Day 5. Lord's 2027 terms adopt it; Trent Bridge's own terms refund Day 5 in full if there is no play at all. Check other grounds' terms.
