Glastonbury 2027 tickets: how the sale went, the £408 price and the April balance dates

TL;DR. Glastonbury returns from Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 June 2027 at Worthy Farm, after the 2026 fallow year. Tickets went on sale in October 2026: ticket and coach packages at 6pm BST on Thursday 1 October, general admission at 9am BST on Sunday 4 October. The coach packages went in about 30 minutes and general admission in about 42. A ticket costs £408 including the £5 booking fee, the first price above £400. Buyers paid a £100 deposit, and the £308 balance is due between 9am BST on Thursday 1 April and 11.59pm BST on Wednesday 7 April 2027. If you missed out, the festival says there will be a resale of cancelled and returned tickets in Spring 2027, explained in our Glastonbury resale guide.

How the October 2026 sale went

  • Tuesday 8 September 2026. The festival confirmed the ticket details and said tickets would go on sale the following month.
  • 5pm BST, Friday 25 September. Registration closed, and nobody could register or edit a registration until the sales were over.
  • 6pm BST, Thursday 1 October. Ticket and coach packages went on sale. See Tickets posted on X that they had sold out at 6.31pm (RTE).
  • 9am BST, Sunday 4 October. General admission went on sale and sold out in about 42 minutes (NME; Euronews), before a single act had been announced.

NME and The Independent reported one new step: buyers had to enter a registration code to join the queue, and each code gave only one queue position, so logging in on several devices returned the same place or an error. Fans said it disrupted "syndicate" groups who shared codes. The festival has not described the change itself. The random queue underneath it, where everyone on the page at the start gets a place at random, dates from the November 2024 sale for the 2025 festival (Dork).

How fast, against earlier years

  • 2023 festival, sold in November 2022. Coach packages in about 23 minutes (Mixmag); general admission in about an hour, after a See Tickets technical problem (Radio X).
  • 2024 festival, sold in November 2023. The sale was put back two weeks over expired registrations. Coach packages went in 25 minutes and general admission in under an hour (PA).
  • 2025 festival, sold in November 2024. Coach packages in 30 minutes (PA) and general admission in about 35 (AAP), in the first sale to use the random queue (Dork).
  • 2027 festival, sold in October 2026. Coach packages in about 30 minutes, general admission in about 42.

The price, and how it has moved

Including the £5 booking fee, a ticket cost £340 for 2023 (Mixmag), £360 for 2024 (PA) and £378.50 for 2025 (the festival). For 2027 it is £408, a £29.50 rise on 2025 (RTE) and the first price above £400 (NME). Postage is on top: £11.25 per order of up to six tickets, charged when the balance is paid, and charged again for each balance paid separately. Coach bookings also paid the coach fare and a £3 coach administration fee up front. The deposit rose too, to £100 per person from £75 for 2025.

If you hold a deposit: the dates that matter

  • 9am BST Thursday 1 April to 11.59pm BST Wednesday 7 April 2027: pay the balance. £308 per ticket plus postage. Each person is responsible for their own balance; if one person paid several deposits, the balances can be paid together or separately. Car parking and TicketPlan Refund Protection can be added at this point, and Refund Protection only at this point or with a full booking.
  • Miss that window and the ticket is cancelled. The deposit goes back to the card you booked with, minus a £25 admin charge, so £75 back on a £100 general admission deposit. Cancelled tickets go back on sale in the festival's resale.
  • Until 23:59 BST Friday 7 May 2027: refunds. A fully paid ticket can be cancelled through See Tickets for the price minus a £25 admin fee; booking fees and postage are not refunded. Cancelling a ticket and coach booking costs £40 (£25 plus £15), and you cannot cancel part of a booking.
  • After 7 May: no refunds unless the festival is cancelled, apart from the circumstances Refund Protection covers, which do not include lost tickets or foreseeable circumstances.
  • Late May to June 2027: tickets arrive. UK orders go by Royal Mail and need a signature on delivery, EU orders go by registered international post, ticket and coach buyers are handed theirs on the coach once it has left, and buyers elsewhere collect from the box office. There are no e-tickets for entry.

Three rules hold throughout. The ticket carries your registration photo and is checked at the gate, and the terms say it may not be sold or transferred. Your registration is locked once a booking is attached, so the photo cannot be changed. And under the 2027 terms, posting a picture of your ticket on social media can get it cancelled with no refund.

If you missed out

  • The resale. The festival says cancelled and returned tickets will be resold in Spring 2027, through See Tickets, at face value, to registered buyers. No date had been set by 10 October 2026. How it works, and how the 2023 to 2025 resales ran, is in our Glastonbury resale guide.
  • Local residents. A limited number of Sunday and full weekend tickets are kept back for full-time permanent residents of the local catchment area who missed out in the main sales, with details given after the general sale.
  • Not other sites. See Tickets is the only authorised seller. The festival supplies no tickets to resale or auction sites and says there is no such thing as a VIP or backstage ticket. Our scam guide covers what those offers look like.

The Glastonbury 2027 line-up

None of it had been announced by 10 October 2026. Emily Eavis told BBC Radio 4's PM programme on 14 August 2026 that all three headliners were booked and that it was "definitely not Madonna" (NME). NME reported on 18 September 2026 that she had answered a fan asking for Oasis to headline: "Sorry Jimmy, not this time!" Oasis have their own 2027 tour; our Oasis 2027 guide has the dates.

Where Alertix fits

Alertix does not monitor Glastonbury. Its tickets are sold and resold only through See Tickets, the festival's own ticketing partner, at times the festival announces, so there is no stream of returns for us to watch. For sold-out gigs and festivals where face-value returns do appear without warning, the events page lists what we watch.
