**TL;DR.** On Monday 19 October 2026 Sam Fender confirmed a **2027 stadium tour** and a return to **St James' Park** in Newcastle, with a Lord of the Rings themed video captioned "The Beacons Are Lit!". The video also showed beacons lit at **the Etihad in Manchester, Cardiff, Murrayfield in Edinburgh and Wembley**. As of 19 October there are **no dates, no prices and no presale details**; his site points fans to its mailing list. This guide is updated the day the dates land.

## What was announced

The tease started on Saturday 17 October, when "Proper Massive SF 27" appeared on the boards around the pitch and on a screen inside St James' Park during Newcastle United's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa. Two days later came the reveal on Instagram: Fender and his band dressed as Lord of the Rings characters, and a chain of beacons catching fire across the country, starting at St James' Park.

- **Newcastle, St James' Park.** Confirmed. His third stadium run at the home of Newcastle United, after 2023 and 2025.

- **Manchester, the Etihad.** Shown in the reveal video.

- **Cardiff.** Shown in the reveal video.

- **Edinburgh, Murrayfield.** Shown in the reveal video.

- **London, Wembley.** Shown in the reveal video.

No source we read on 19 October lists dates for any of these, or says how many nights each gets. Until the full list is published, the four stadiums after St James' Park are where the video went, not booked dates. The official site, samfender.com, carries only "SF27" and a sign-up for news on live shows.

## How we got here: from North Shields to stadiums

Fender is from North Shields, a few miles down the Tyne from St James' Park, and the ground has become the centre of his live story.

- **2019.** He won the BRITs Critics' Choice award, and his debut album *Hypersonic Missiles* (13 September 2019) went to No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart.

- **2021.** *Seventeen Going Under* (8 October 2021) went to No. 1 too.

- **2022.** He headlined Finsbury Park in London on 15 July 2022 for about 45,000 people, his biggest headline show at that point.

- **2023.** Two nights at St James' Park, 9 and 10 June. The second night was added after the first sold out in presale, both sold out, and about 100,000 people came: the first time a local solo artist had headlined the stadium.

- **2025.** His third album, *People Watching* (21 February 2025), went to No. 1. The tour that followed played London Stadium on 6 June 2025 and three nights at St James' Park, where more than 150,000 people attended. On 16 October 2025 *People Watching* won the Mercury Prize, at a ceremony held in Newcastle, the first outside London.

## How his stadium tickets have sold before

Nothing about the 2027 sale has been announced, so this is history, not a forecast. For the 2025 stadium and outdoor shows, tickets went on sale on 25 October 2024, £1 from each UK ticket went to the Music Venue Trust, and demand was high enough that a ballot for North East residents was used. In 2023 the St James' Park presale for the first night sold out before general sale, which is why a second night was added. When those shows sold out, touts listed St James' Park tickets for up to £700, and buying that way risks a ticket that is cancelled at the gate.

## What to do now

1. **Sign up at samfender.com.** His site points fans to the mailing list for live show news, and it is where presale details have arrived first before.

2. **Get your ticket accounts ready.** Signed in on the phone you carry, with a card saved, before any sale. The official seller for each night will be named when dates are announced.

3. **Pick your city and nights.** If St James' Park follows 2023 and 2025, demand in the North East will be the highest on the tour.

4. **Ignore early "tickets" listings.** With no dates published, any site selling Sam Fender 2027 tickets today is selling something that does not exist yet.

## If you miss out

Big stadium runs keep producing returned tickets until show day: plans change, payments fail, spares get listed back at face value on the tour's official resale route. Those returns appear without warning and go quickly. There are no dates to watch yet; once there are, Alertix watches official resale for the 2027 shows.
