# Can ChatGPT or an AI agent watch Ticketmaster for returned tickets?

**TL;DR.** An AI assistant can read a ticket page when you ask it to, but it cannot watch one for you. It stops when the chat ends, it cannot wake you up, and ticketing sites put a bot check in front of exactly the kind of repeated visits that watching takes. Pointing an agent at your own Ticketmaster or AXS account also puts that account at risk. The job needs something that runs all day and every day without your login, then hands the buying back to you.

## Why it seems like it should work

Returned tickets for sold-out shows come back on the official resale page without warning, often for a few minutes. Checking that page every few minutes, for weeks, is a job nobody wants to do by hand. So "ask ChatGPT to keep an eye on it" is a natural thought, and agents that can open a browser make it sound possible.

## Wall one: the bot check

Ticketing sites are built to keep automated traffic out, because automated traffic is how touts buy up shows. Ticketmaster's own help pages say that using several devices or tabs at once can look like bot activity and get you blocked, and that a VPN or Apple's Private Relay can stop a purchase. An agent loading the same event page again and again looks like the thing the check exists to stop, so it often gets a challenge page, a block, or nothing at all.

## Wall two: the chat ends

An assistant works while you are talking to it. Close the tab and it is not still checking in the background, and even agents that can run a task for a while are not built to keep going for the weeks a resale wait can take. Returns land at any hour, and one at 2am is no use if nothing can tell you until you next open the chat.

## Wall three: your account

In February 2025 thousands of UK Ticketmaster accounts were reported blocked over alleged bot activity, and Oasis reunion tickets were cancelled in what was reported as a crackdown on bot purchases. An agent signed in as you, refreshing on a loop, is exactly the behaviour those checks look for, under your name. If the account gets flagged, the account you need for the purchase is the one in trouble.

## What works instead

Split the job in two. The watching is repetitive and never sleeps, so give it to a service built for it. The buying needs you, signed in, at checkout, so keep it.

That is what Alertix does. We watch official resale channels around the clock from our own systems, never with your account, and the moment a ticket appears we push an alert to your phone linked straight to the listing. You open it and buy it yourself, under your own account, at face value. We never buy, hold or resell tickets, and we never ask for your Ticketmaster or AXS login.

Find your show on the [events page](https://alertix.app/events), pick the dates you can actually go to, and the alerts go to your phone. How the official exchanges themselves work is in our [Ticketmaster resale explainer](https://alertix.app/blog/ticketmaster-fan-to-fan-resale-explained) and our [AXS Official Resale explainer](https://alertix.app/blog/is-axs-official-resale-safe).

## Questions people actually ask

### Can ChatGPT monitor Ticketmaster for resale tickets?

Not in a way that helps. An assistant can look at a page when you ask, but it does not keep watching after the conversation ends, and it cannot wake you up when a ticket appears at 2am. Ticketing sites also run bot checks that often stop automated browsing before the page loads.

### Why does my AI agent get blocked on Ticketmaster or AXS?

Because to the site it looks like a bot, and ticketing sites are built to stop bots. Ticketmaster's own help pages say even ordinary fans can be blocked for using several devices or tabs at once, and that a VPN or Apple's Private Relay can get in the way. An agent refreshing a page on a loop looks far more automated than that.

### Can using an AI agent get my Ticketmaster account blocked?

It can. Ticketing sites block activity that looks automated, and in February 2025 thousands of UK Ticketmaster accounts were reported blocked over alleged bot activity. An agent refreshing a page while signed in as you looks automated, so it puts the account you need for buying at risk.

### What should I use instead?

A service built to watch official resale for you. Alertix watches official resale channels around the clock from its own systems, never with your account, and pushes an alert to your phone with a link to the listing. You buy it yourself, under your own account, as a person.
